xq2xsl:
translator or implementation?

Originally xq2xsl was conceived as a system for translating XQuery to XSLT.

Working on the XQuery Test Suite has re-enforced the notion that xq2xsl (when coupled to an XSLT engine) is an implementation of XQuery.

The difference relates mainly to the error handling. An XQuery implementation needs to (or, at least, should) generate XQuery error codes.
